Most frequent questions and answers

I shoot on location either in or around your own home or at outdoor locations within Dandenong Ranges and Melbourne. I’m happy to suggest a location but if you have a favourite place please let me know so we can have a talk about it.

Newborn sessions are always shot in your own home, and are shot with a lifestyle approach.

The type of shoot you have chosen will determine how long the shoot will take. Location sessions are usually completed within 1 hour, whereas Lifestyle sessions in your home usually take a little longer, approximately 1 – 1.5 hours (they are longer as time is usually needed to stop for feeds, changes and settling). It’s important to be punctual for your session in order to get the most out of your session.

My sessions ensure I capture personality and authentic connections between family members and I have tips of bringing this out of you naturally. I will never pose you in awkward and uncomfortable ways that you wouldn’t sit normally with your family, and I will NEVER tell you to “say cheese”!

I always make sure my sessions are relaxed and fun because my aim is to capture your family’s natural and genuine happiness, and that’s done only if they’re enjoying themselves.

I’m always flexible, if it’s raining and we’re shooting outdoors we’ll reschedule. My goal is to get beautiful photos taken and if we need to make a change in order to achieve that, I’ll do whatever it takes.

I know how hard these sessions can be to organise from your end. So I always give my extended families options of dates, then I keep all those dates free whilst you work it out.

Of course, pets are family too, if you want to bring your beloved furry baby, feel free… just let me know when you’re booking that you’d like to do this.

This is a very frequent question every single client asks me… what to wear? When you book a session I’ll send you a welcome pack I wrote to help you pick what suits you and the session best.

You will be able to view a sneak peek on my facebook page (Connect Create Photography) within 48h of your shoot and will usually be able to view your full gallery within ten days (generally quicker). Please allow for up to two weeks, as although I endeavour to get them completed as quickly as possible, we all know that sometimes life gets in the way and this isn’t always possible.

Once your gallery is complete, I will email you a link and unique password to view your gallery. From there, you can choose which package you wish to purchase. Your gallery will be active for 7 days.

Once you have chosen your package and your favourites, and once payment has been completed, I will release the photos you’ve chosen to download them straight onto your computer. It’s important to note that the photos viewed before choosing your package will have my logo on them. Once you have chosen your favourites, the logo will be removed. Feel free to share the images you purchase!

Every session includes 10 edited digital images, then you will have the option of purchasing additional photos at $20 each when purchasing one of the packages, as well as a number of products such as additional photo books, canvases or mounted prints. By participating in the shoot, you are agreeing to allow your images to be posted on my Facebook and Instagram pages, my website, and used for any promotions. Please let me know if you are not happy for your images to be on social media.
